“Day Of The Death” sounds the horn for a new era in the realm of the ever elolving landscape of punk music. Death By Stereo’s motto is: “The sound of death brings life;” ambiguous and a bit enigmatic initially, but lucid, precise and totally sensible upon further inspection; but what exactly is the “sound of death?” It’s balls-out, punk-ridden, thrash with a fist full of hardcore thrown upon jagged metal riffs and speed; full-blown musical complexity melding with a fury, wit and sarcasm. Ultimately, “the sound of death” is the aborted brainchild of metal, punk and every other ferocious style in between.
